Risk measures:-It is also important to know about the risk factors in these diseases. Most common factor is old age. With growing older your risk factor for suffering from a heart disease increases. Genetic makeup is another risk factor.
Smoking:-It is advised not to smoke as it affects you in many harmful ways. Smoking is harmful for the other people also who are indirectly inhaling it. Smoking increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes. So say no to smoking!
Blood pressure is in control:-Hypertension is known as a silent killer as it has unseen symptoms in most individuals. High blood pressure causes wear and tear of inner lining of blood cells. With high blood pressure you have higher risk of heart disease and strokes. Also these diseases may be hereditary and increases with old age. Blood pressure should be controlled for preventing the risk of these diseases.
Cholesterol is maintained:-Cholesterol level or we can say blood lipids level if increased then it may lead to increase in the risk of heart attacks. Blood lipids include LDL that is bad cholesterol which is harmful for our heart. So for proper heart health, cholesterol should be maintained.

Healthy Diet for Heart
